Use NetSuite to scale your business

Written by Ben Holt | Aug 24, 2026, 7:01:51 AM

NetSuite is a powerful platform that can be used to build strong foundations and scale your business. Too many companies aren't getting the best return from their investment because they're not using NetSuite and its applications to the fullest.

We see this pattern often with our clients. A company implements NetSuite, runs into friction in the first six months, builds a few workarounds, and never goes back to fix the foundation. Years later, they're paying full licence fees and have hired extra staff for a system that does maybe 40% of what it could.

The good news is that most of these frustrations aren't software problems. They're usually implementation and process issues that can be fixed.

Why we work with Ironborn

Ironborn is a Sydney-based ERP consultancy led by Vittoria Anderson, with deep NetSuite expertise and broad experience across other platforms. They've helped several of our clients move from a frustrating NetSuite experience to one that actually drives the business forward.

Three things stand out about how they work:

  • Ironborn favour best practice over workarounds. The fix isn't another patch on top of an existing patch. It's a cleaner foundation that scales.
  • Ironborn teach and train your team, with training documents and how-to videos that develop your team's skills and help you become self-reliant.
  • Ironborn are platform-agnostic when it matters. If NetSuite isn't the right answer, they'll say so. That makes their advice genuinely useful when you're choosing an ERP for the first time or weighing up a change.

The NetSuite Health Check

For clients already on NetSuite, Ironborn runs a fixed-fee health check. It's a focused engagement that looks at:

  • Identifying roadblocks, risks, hidden costs and opportunities
  • Removing excess cost by replacing workarounds with efficient, automated processes
  • Improving the flow of master data through to transactions, for more transparent and complete reporting
  • Communicating emerging functionality and next steps for your consideration

The output is a clear set of defined issues and recommendations against each. Most clients find improvements that pay for the engagement many times over.

Choosing a new ERP

If you're earlier in the journey, Ironborn also runs a structured ERP Evaluation Process. Has your team sat through multiple demos and felt no closer to making a decision with confidence?

Ironborn's process includes:

  • Documenting your current processes, so you gain clarity about your needs and key business drivers
  • Ensuring demos address your needs and are clear about what is configured out of the box and what requires costly customisation
  • Getting beyond the sales pitch by comparing quotes on a like-for-like basis

Ironborn is upfront that they actively avoid influencing your purchase decision. The goal is to help you make the right call with confidence.

Who should consider reaching out to Ironborn

  • Any business already on NetSuite, especially if it feels like the system is fighting you
  • Businesses growing fast and outgrowing Xero, MYOB, or a basic ERP
  • CFOs and operations leaders comparing ERP vendors and feeling stuck
  • Boards considering an ERP investment and wanting an independent view
